Our Past, Current and Future Communities

Heritage Green: The Fields and Daybreak at Hanover, Virginia

Located in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia, the Fields at Hanover offer a carefully designed assisted living alternative to individuals seeking assistance with activities of daily living but are anxious to preserve independence wherever possible for as long as possible. It finds the balance between the quiet enjoyment of the country and a variety of well-designed activities so important to slow the processes of aging.

In the same community, Daybreak at Hanover offers not only added security for individuals with memory and cognitive impairment, but a therapeutic program to slow the progress of Alzheimer’s disease and preserve meaningful interaction between the resident and his/her family for as long as possible. Residents can move seamlessly between programs with minimal changes of diet, staff and schedule as needs require.

Daybreak at Lynchburg, Virginia

This community in western Virginia offers state-of-the-art care to individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders of memory and cognition. Its program aims to help residents retain skills by creating individual microenvironments for each resident in which they can still carry out tasks and function reasonably independently or with assistance.

By focusing on remaining skill, the resident can maintain a feeling of self-worth, accomplishment and understanding of his or her day for longer than absent these opportunities. Many design features of the building also recognize the visual-spatial problems that accompany Alsheimer’s disease and work to minimize their impact on the ability of our residents to move around the facility during the course of their day with minimum assistance.

The Madison House and Ivy Court in Orlando, Florida

Located in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando, Florida, the Madison House and Ivy Court occupy a single campus close to all the restaurants, shops and community facilities that make this one of the most desirable residential areas of central Florida.

Now owned and managed by Brookdale, MJM revitalized both the buildings and programs, ensuring that this community would continue to serve the Dr. Phillips area and extended its market to the Windermere region and northern suburbs of Orlando which it continues to serve to this day. The assisted living community (the Madison House) and the memory care community (Ivy Court) were designed to work closely together to seamlessly serve their respective residents who can simply travel across the parking lot to participate in those programs most suited to their current and changing needs.
